Mudgee

Mudgee is an attractive country town of fine old buildings, located in the broad, picturesque and fertile Cudgegong River Valley. It is said the name 'Mudgee' is a corruption of a Wiradjuri Aboriginal term, 'Moothi', meaning 'nest in the hills'. Known primarily for its boutique wine and sophisticated country charm, Mudgee is surrounded by quaint country towns, rich with heritage. The region offers a variety of shopping, wineries, and places to eat.
